Learn how to make Tomato Ketchup at home from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani Basic Cooking. Tomato Ketchup is a quick and easy to make sauce recipe prepared from tomato pulp and aromatic spices. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />1/2 kg Tomato <br />1 tsp Red Chilli Powder <br />3 tbsp Sugar <br />1 inch Cinnamon <br />3-4 Cloves <br />8-10 Black Pepper <br />2 Masala Cardamom <br />1 Green Chilli <br />7-8 Garlic <br />1 tsp Cumin Seeds <br />1 tsp Vinegar <br />Salt <br />Water <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- Grind the tomatoes in a mixer blender. Pass the tomato pulp through a sieve and keep it aside. <br />- Heat a sauce pan. Add the tomato pulp, red chilli powder, sugar and salt. Mix everything well. <br />- Take a muslin cloth. Add cinnamon, cloves, black pepper, masala cardamom, green chilli, garlic and cumin seeds. Tie the knot and add this to the tomato pulp. <br />- Add little water and vinegar. Let everything come to a boil. <br />- Once the sauce thickens switch off the flame. Remove the spices tied in muslin cloth. <br />- You can store this tomato sauce in a refrigerator for couple of months.
